Frequently Asked Questions
What are the required teacher to student ratios?
We do not have a specified teacher-to-student ratio for excursions, however we recommend no more than 20 students per teacher. We recommend following your school or the departments guidelines to ensure safe and effective supervision throughout your visit.
Do students need to purchase tickets if they already hold annual passes?
Students who hold a valid annual pass do not need to purchase an education ticket. However, the annual pass must be presented on arrival for entry. If the student cannot present a valid pass at the gate, the school will be charged the applicable education rate for that student.
Can you tailor an education program for my group?
Tailoring options vary depending on the venue and program selected:
Sea World: Education programs at Sea World are unable to be tailored to specific tasks or assessments, however our team are more than happy to answer additional questions for inclusion. Please contact our Education Team to discuss what options may be possible for your booking.
Paradise Country: Programs at Paradise Country follow a set structure with fixed schedules and cannot be tailored.
Warner Bros. Movie World: Requests for tailored inclusions may be considered; however, due to operational requirements, they may not always be accommodated. We encourage you to reach out to our Education Team to discuss your ideas and check what may be possible.
Can the time of my program be adjusted?
Education program times are unable to be adjusted. All education programs run to a fixed schedule to align with park operations and daily schedules. Your confirmed program time will be included in your booking confirmation and can be found on the program overview. If you foresee difficulty in arriving on time for your education program, please contact our Education Team to discuss alternative programs.
Do you provide worksheets or educational booklets?
Yes. Curriculum‑aligned worksheets and learning resources are available for our Sea World programs. These will be provided on arrival, depending on your program. Program booklets can be provided on request for Warner Bros. Movie World Education programs.
Do you offer daytime educational experiences for Australian Outback Spectacular?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any daytime educational programs for Australian Outback Spectacular. However, we do offer a monthly Sunday matinee performance which schools and groups are welcome to attend.
Is there a designated area in the park for school groups?
Allocated areas vary across our venues:
Wet’n’Wild: All school group bookings are provided with a designated undercover area for the day. Your location will be confirmed in you booking details and on arrival.
Paradise Country: There are no fixed school areas; however, your Education Officer will advise your group on the day where you may sit for lunch.
Warner Bros. Movie World & Sea World: These parks do not have designated school‑only areas. However, our team can recommend suitable meeting points or lunch areas based on your itinerary and group size.
Can students bring their own packed lunches?
Absolutely. Students are welcome to bring their own packed lunches. Please note we are unable store or refrigerate student lunches. No commercial food, glassware or knives may be brought into any of our parks.
Is there anywhere we can store the students’ bags?
We are unable to store group bags. Tap and pay lockers are available for hire with costs ranging from $15 to $25 for a large size locker. Lockers are not available at the Australian Outback Spectacular or Paradise country.
Are there change facilities for students with diverse needs?
Yes. Accessible and private changing facilities are available. Please contact our Education Team prior to your visit to discuss your needs and ensure the appropriate facilities are reserved.
Do you provide buses or transportation?
No, we do not provide transport. Schools are responsible for organising their own bus or transport arrangements.
Are Home School groups eligible for Education rates?
Yes, home school groups are eligible to receive education rates, provided registration is supplied for each child attending. Please note, Teacher Free of Charge tickets do not apply to home school bookings. Parents and carers attending with the group will be charged the appropriate accompanying adult rate.
